If you have ever felt bad about your body, read this book. If you have NEVER felt bad about your body, read this book. If you are fat, read this book. If you are thin, read this book. If you love The Bachelor, read this book. If you’ve never watched a reality TV show in your life, read this book. If you tend not to think too much about how even the so-called “inclusive” brands only go up to size 14 or 16 despite that being literally the AVERAGE size of American women, read this book. If you’ve ever compared the “difficulties” of being skinny or tall to being plus sized as if they’re treated even remotely similarly by fashion brands or the media (guilty), then PLEASE read this book. If you have ever felt that not conforming to society’s unrealistic standards of beauty makes you less desirable or worthy of love, read this book! If you just want to read an enchanting story about a highly relatable woman looking for love and for whom you will clap and giggle and laugh and cry and root for, then, by golly, you really owe it to yourself to read this glorious, beautiful, excellent, seriously-just-can’t-put-this-thing-down masterpiece of a book.
“Everyone wanted so many things from her—to believe in herself and see her own true beauty, but not to be conceited, to know her place. Be more than your looks, but never speak out of turn. Don’t be defined by love, but remember, you’re nothing without it. Be a princess. Find your prince. You don’t need a man to complete you. Stand on your own two feet.”
