Book Review: One To Watch

One to Watch by Kate Stayman-London

๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’„ (five stars, as rated in tubes of vibrant, red lipstick!)

If you have ever felt bad about your body, read this book. If you have NEVER felt bad about your body, read this book. If you are fat, read this book. If you are thin, read this book. If you love The Bachelor, read this book. If youโ€™ve never watched a reality TV show in your life, read this book. If you tend not to think too much about how even the so-called โ€œinclusiveโ€ brands only go up to size 14 or 16 despite that being literally the AVERAGE size of American women, read this book. If youโ€™ve ever compared the “difficulties” of being skinny or tall to being plus sized as if theyโ€™re treated even remotely similarly by fashion brands or the media (guilty), then PLEASE read this book. If you have ever felt that not conforming to societyโ€™s unrealistic standards of beauty makes you less desirable or worthy of love, read this book! If you just want to read an enchanting story about a highly relatable woman looking for love and for whom you will clap and giggle and laugh and cry and root for, then, by golly, you really owe it to yourself to read this glorious, beautiful, excellent, seriously-just-canโ€™t-put-this-thing-down masterpiece of a book.

Content Warnings for this book: fat shaming, fat-phobic behavior

Image Description: A flat-lay featuring the book One to Watch by Kate Stayman-London. to the left and top right of the book (which lays, slightly turned to the left in the center of the square frame) are two opened lipsticks in golden tubes. At the bottom right corner is a string of pearls. There are a few rings strewn to the right of the book and a ring box with an engagement ring, mirroring the image on the cover of the book which is of a plus sized woman in a pink dress and matching pink heels, holding an engagement ring behind her back. At the top left of my frame is a some gold sequined fabric as an accent.

My name is Sarah and I can't imagine my life without books. Actually, I can and it's terrible. I'm also into climbing, video games and bothering the nearest cat.
