Thanks so much to Marianna @ Marianna’s Corner for introducing me to this weekly meme, hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words.
Put simply, WWW Wednesday is a little dive into the following three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Customizing this post a bit since we’ve about come to the end of Scorpio Season and it’s nearing time for my wrap up anyway! As it stands, I have finished two of the four and am working my way through the others! So here goes:
Currently Reading

Truth be told, I’m currently reading about eight books. But I’m only going to post on two of them today because eight is just outrageous. I am thoroughly enjoying Winter Counts so far and am about 30% of the way through. It’s heavy, but that’s to be expected given the subject matter. The prose is lovely, in any case, and I am highly invested in the story.

Listen, I have no idea what’s happening in this book. That’s on me, because I was tired when I started the thing and just know that some stuff passed over my head. The thing is, though, that I kindof don’t even care? Because Howzell Hall is such a joy to read that I wouldn’t even mind if the rest of the book was absolute trash. I love everything she writes and will stand by it forever.
Recently Finished

This story was a total delight. You can read my full review of this book on Goodreads, though I still plan to post it here in the future as well. The short version: fat protagonists are really having a moment and I am loving the heck out of it.

I can’t say that I disliked this book. But I was less enamored with it than I was genuinely hoping to be? Having recently finished Signal to Noise, another of Moreno-Garcia’s novels, and absolutely LOVED it, I think I was just expecting more from this. It was still entertaining enough and I would still recommend. It made for a good spooky season read, indeed!
Up Next

I am unveiling my Sag season reading list a wee bit early, but It’s what’s next on my list so, what the heck? Also, only six more days until the release of Ready Player Two and I am VERY excited!!!
What books are you waiting eagerly for? Have you read any of what I’ve been digging into lately? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for reading!
Best,
Sarah
